A couple of days ago, at the Denver airport, I overheard the following flight announcement (I've changed the flight number, which I don't remember exactly):

"United Flight 3486 to Appleton will depart from Gate 59 at 12:30. Ish."

I love it.

What Goes Around Comes Around ... Around

Alert Friend Karla shares the following:

Acronyms That Make You Go "EWW!"

You don't want to miss the United Nations agency called UN Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women. That's right, the acronym is:

UNEGEEW, with an emphasis on "eww" at the end.

Incredible Credibility

The New York Times, on June 29, offered this little tidbit of a quote in its article about Madonna's new line of clothing for Macy's (emphasis added):

Asked how relevant Madonna, 51, was to today’s teenagers, executives at Macy’s said she still resonated. “She has a fashion credibility that is incredibly apparent to anybody,” said Jeff Gennette, chief merchandising officer for Macy’s.
