Truth in Airports

A couple of days ago, at the Denver airport, I overheard the following flight announcement (I've changed the flight number, which I don't remember exactly):

"United Flight 3486 to Appleton will depart from Gate 59 at 12:30. Ish."

I love it.

Although we love the current Bachelorette, Ali, we did have to replay the scene to make sure we heard her correctly…. … and then we both started laughing and thought of you!

She said, in describing her growing relationship with one of the guys, “He’s feeling more comfortable … I’m feeling more comfortable … and vice versa.”

UNEGEEW, with an emphasis on "eww" at the end.

Incredible Credibility

The New York Times, on June 29, offered this little tidbit of a quote in its article about Madonna's new line of clothing for Macy's (emphasis added):

Asked how relevant Madonna, 51, was to today’s teenagers, executives at Macy’s said she still resonated. “She has a fashion credibility that is incredibly apparent to anybody,” said Jeff Gennette, chief merchandising officer for Macy’s.
